Adult Autism Assessment
Neurodiversity-affirming autism evaluation
Our autism assessment provides a thorough, neurodiversity-affirming evaluation for adults who have questions about whether they may be autistic. We recognize that many adults—particularly women and those who learned to mask differences—reach adulthood without diagnosis despite lifelong experiences of feeling different.
Autism assessments are often combined with ADHD, psychoeducational, psychological, or neuropsychological assessments when there is more than one question to answer.
Who This Assessment Is For
Consider an autism assessment if you:
- Have always felt somehow different from others without understanding why
- Find social situations exhausting or confusing despite your best efforts
- Wonder whether autism might explain lifelong patterns and experiences
- Want diagnostic clarity to access appropriate support or self-understanding
Our Assessment Approach
Neurodiversity-affirming evaluation
We approach autism assessment from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. Our goal is not to identify deficits but to understand your unique neurological profile—including both challenges you may face and strengths associated with autistic cognition.
We recognize that autism presents differently across individuals and that many adults have developed sophisticated masking strategies. Our evaluation accounts for these factors.
The Assessment Process
Structured clinical interview
Early development, childhood experiences, social history, and how your presentation has evolved. We account for masking and compensation.
Review of collateral information
Report cards, interviews with family or friends, and medical records such as previous assessments or consults, where available.
Autism psychometric testing
Validated tools designed for autism assessment in adults.
Screening for psychological presentations
A screening for presentations such as anxiety or depression, which commonly co-occur with autism — not a full psychological assessment.

A Note on Late Diagnosis
Receiving an autism diagnosis as an adult often brings complex emotions—relief, grief, and adjustment. We provide space to process these experiences during feedback and can connect you with ongoing support.
