Neuropsychological Treatment & Rehabilitation

Cognitive rehabilitation and brain health programs

Changes in thinking abilities can profoundly impact daily life—affecting work performance, relationships, independence, and sense of self. Whether these changes result from brain injury, neurological conditions, or the natural aging process, neuropsychological rehabilitation offers evidence-based strategies to optimize function and quality of life.

Our Approach

Holistic, individualized cognitive rehabilitation

We take a holistic, individualized approach to cognitive health and rehabilitation. Rather than generic brain training, we focus on understanding how cognitive changes specifically affect your daily life and developing targeted strategies to address those impacts. We work collaboratively with you, your family, and your broader healthcare team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

Areas of Focus

Our neuropsychological treatment addresses a range of cognitive and neurological challenges.

Post-Concussion Recovery

Our post-concussion treatment addresses cognitive symptoms (attention, memory, processing speed), emotional challenges (anxiety, irritability, mood changes), and functional impacts (return to work, academic accommodations).

Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation

We provide cognitive rehabilitation targeting attention, memory, and executive function, along with psychological support for adjustment and emotional changes that often accompany brain injury.

Cognitive Rehabilitation

Structured rehabilitation programs to strengthen cognitive skills and develop compensatory strategies for attention, memory, executive function, and processing speed concerns.

Executive Skills Training

Structured, evidence-based training for executive function difficulties, building practical strategies for planning, organization, and follow-through.

Mastering Adult ADHD

A specialized program helping adults with ADHD develop practical strategies for organization, time management, focus, and emotional regulation.

Memory Strategies

Evidence-based techniques to optimize memory function, including external aids, internal strategies, and environmental modifications.

Coping with Neurological Conditions

Psychological support and cognitive strategies for individuals living with stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions.

Brain Health & Healthy Aging

Proactive strategies to maintain cognitive health and optimize brain function as we age.

Chronic Pain Management

Psychological approaches to chronic pain, addressing the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural factors that influence pain experience and functioning.

Family Support

Education and support for family members of individuals with neurological conditions.

What to Expect

Understanding the rehabilitation process

Neuropsychological treatment typically begins with a thorough review of your history, any previous assessments, and your current concerns and goals. Treatment is then tailored to address your specific needs, drawing from evidence-based protocols and adapted to your daily life context.

Sessions may include direct cognitive training, strategy instruction and practice, homework assignments to implement strategies in daily life, and psychoeducation about brain function and recovery. Family members are often included in portions of treatment to support generalization of strategies.
